Typhoon in Hong Kong 1937

Over three chapters I describe a typhoon in Hong Kong.

In September 1937 a large typhoon actually hit the Colony. I have used a date a few months earlier and have given it a fictitious name of ‘Bella’ (actually naming them came a few years later).

As described in my novel, 11,000 people died in this typhoon. I have experienced typhoons, and if you haven’t, there are plenty of ‘YouTube typhoon’ experiences which will give you an idea of the frightening strength of these extraordinary storms.
